How to break the credit card cycle once you’re stuck in it? You paid so much on debts this month that now in order to live and pay for day to day stuff, you have to use your credit card.
That brings next month’s payment up to a level that, again, you can’t but use your credit card.
If you want to get ahead of your expenses and would like to have some extra money you have to break that credit card cycle.
Dana Jospeh suggest one practical, down to earth way to do it: don’t spend for a month. She writes that keeping your eye on the ball is key in this method. Realize you’re only doing this for one month.
- Pay the regular bills
- Remember that you only have to endure this for a month
- Avoid temptation
- Celebrate when the month is over
Of course that end of the month celebration should be moderate. Dana suggest getting something you missed, like a pizza or movie night out. Splurging on an Xbox with a new plasma screen isn’t the way to go…
